What do we look for in our staff?

We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic about working in the food industry and who demonstrate excellent customer service skills. It is imperative that candidates have the ability to work as part of a team. You should also be able to adapt to working in a fast-paced environment.

All new members of the team receive initial induction training within their unit. This covers important areas such as health and safety and wellbeing, food safety, brand standards, our menu, customer service, and company policies and procedures.

Training is delivered through in-house courses, job shadowing with a mentor, on the job training, 1-to-1 sessions, e-learning courses, training booklets and field trips.

Our training plans are tailored to your specific job role and cover everything you’ll need to know.

External courses are also available.

CRITERIA

VALID FULL UK LICENSE
ACCESS TO OWN VEHICLE AND INSURANCE
BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD
EXPERIENCE PREFERABLE BUT NOT NECESSARY
ALL SHIFTS WILL BE DURING EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS OVER A 7 DAY PERIOD ON A ROTA BASIS. SO FLEXIBILITY IS KEY!
WEEKLY ROTAS AND AVAILABILITY TO BE DISCUSSED WITH THE SHOP MANAGER.

 

EXPECTATIONS

ALL DRIVERS ARE EXPECTED TO BE ONSHIFT AT THE STARTING TIME AND REMAIN ON SHIFT TILL THE DESIGNATED FINISHING TIME. UNLESS OTHERWISE AGREED WITH THE SHOP MANAGER.
TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE SHOP MANAGER IMMEDIATELY IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO COVER YOUR SHIFT FOR ANY REASON. eg: illness or vehicle breakdown etc.
DRIVERS ARE EXPECTED TO BE COURTEOUS AT ALL TIMES WITH BOTH CUSTOMERS AND OTHER STAFF AND WORK AS EFFICIENTLY AS POSSIBLE TO MAINTAIN AN EXCELLENT DELIVERY SERVICE TO OUR CUSTOMERS.

A full induction will be provided.

Drivers are self employed contractors and are not directly employed by Marlin Retail Ltd (John Dory’s).
