The Seafish ‘Fish Frying Skills’ FDQ has resumed at Belfast Met with 6 members of the John Dory’s staff working through the qualification. This is open to all businesses who have an interest in up-skilling their workforce. The class meets every Wednesday afternoon at the college with work place assessments.
Two of the John Dory’s staff Kat Deuchars and Kirsty Watson are studying for their TAQA (assessors qualification) so they have the necessary skills and qualifications to assess students in the workplace.
Jayne Connor is currently completing her level 4 food safety which will enable her to teach up to level 3. As John Dory’s is now registered as a training centre we’ll soon be enrolling our first batch of students!
Well done everyone – keep up the good work!
